He was only 28 years old, so was it drugs or natural causes?
TMZ says, it’s now appearing that the level of toxicity (from medication) in Ledger’s system was low enough that it may not have caused his death. These sources say Heath’s heart stopped. It could have been a heart attack but it’s not certain, at least not yet. Although it’s bizarre that a 28-year-old could die of natural causes, it happens.
There is no offical word on how he died yet. The autopsy is still to be performed! I guess we just have to wait and find out once the autopsy is done.

It’s still really early to be coming to any serious conclusions about Heath Ledger’s tragic death yesterday. The latest update is that NYPD Commissioner Ray Kelly announced that a rolled-up $20 bill was found near the late actor’s body.
In addition, Kelly revealed that “no testing has been done for narcotics at this time,” referring to the rolled-up bill. And an autopsy came back with inconclusive results.

Brokeback Mountain will be the performance that goes down in the history books to remember the life and career of Heath Ledger. Many critics had questioned his talent as an actor leading up to his role as a gay cowboy, but the sheer brilliance of his grace on the silver screen won even the most hardened critics over.
Despite this role bringing Ledger his only Oscar nomination, he gave many other performances that are worthy of mentioning.

Heath Ledger, 28, has died in NY today at 3:35pm. Lying face down the his bedroom of his SoHo Apartment, Heath was reportedly found by his housekeeper. There were prescription pills found scattered near his body (they appear to be sleeping pills).
Reportedly Ledger had a scheduled massage appointment and when the masseuse arrived at his house, the housekeeper let the masseuse in. The housekeeper went to tell Ledger about the appointment, but Ledger didn’t open his bedroom door. The housekeeper found Ledger unconscious and called 911.
