Nicole Richie and Joel Madden revealed the first photos of their daughter Harlow Winter.

Nicole poses with the month-old baby on the cover of this weeks People magazine, and says becoming a mother has given her life a whole new meaning.

Nicole said that Harlow came out and I knew she looked like me, and I was holding her, and it was something so much bigger than me. Now she looks a little more like Joel, but when she was born, it looked like Joel had nothing to do with it. But it’s almost like I don’t even remember what life was like before her. She gives life a whole new meaning and a whole new purpose.

People magazine is said to have paid $1 million for the pictures, which will feature on the cover of their next issue, which hits US newsstands on Friday.

After a long wait, and many people speculating to when she was checking into the hospital, Jennifer Lopez finally gave birth to her twins early Friday morning!

It’s a boy! And a girl!!!!

The girl was born at 12:12 a.m. and weighed 5 lbs. 7 oz., and the boy followed at 12:23 a.m., weighing 6 lbs.

La Lopez gave birth in Long Island, N.Y., where she and hubby Marc Anthony live.

“Jennifer and Marc are delighted, thrilled and over the moon,” says Lopez’s manager.

Congrats to the happy couple!!!!!

Christina Aguilera is a punk!  She said that she decided not to give birth to baby Max the natural way, because she was too scared and didn’t want to go through the pain. She gave birth via c-section and booked in advance. That’s how they do it in Hollywood.

She told Hello Magazine,

“I didn’t want any surprises. Honestly, I didn’t want any [vaginal] tearing. I had heard horror stories of women going in and having to have an emergency C-section [anyway]. The hardest part was deciding on his birthday. I wanted to leave it up to fate, but at the same time I was ready to be done early!”

“Jordan wasn’t squeamish at all. He had the video camera ready to go. The most reassuring thing for me was hearing that first beautiful cry. I just welled up with tears.“

She actually cried? Didn’t she care about messing up her make up? She probably got wet mascara all over her poor baby. I don’t understand the c-section stuff. Isn’t a little tear in your va-jay-jay better than a big scar on your belly? It’s called meds Christina. All she needed was major meds and the vag tear would have been nothing.

When will people learn? Paris Hilton can barely care for herself, let alone another life. This time, it was an adopted kitten who felt the wrath of the actress singer humanitarian walking STD.

Paris reportedly adopted a cat from the Kris Kelly Foundation in May a week before she was locked up (and released, and locked up and released again). In the midst of the media circus, Hilton forgot to get the cat neutered. Fast-forward to two weeks ago, when Paris finally took the cat in to get fixed.

That would be fine, except for the fact that Paris never picked the cat up. And the Kris Kelly Foundation, after unanswered calls to Hilton, has decided to keep the cat away from her. That’s the one smart thing they’ve done thus far.

Paris’ reps are saying that this is a publicity stunt, and the cat was supposed to be delivered back to Hilton. Um, the cat doesn’t just call a driver and reappear, Paris. You are responsible for knowing where the animal is, not just dressing it up in awful clothes and parading it down the red carpet.

Promoting a big budget movie is tough work. Just ask Kate Hudson, who has been all over New York City to help boost the box office return of her new film, Fool’s Gold.

To start things off, Hudson did the morning show routine – paying visits to both the Today Show and Live with Regis & Kelly.

 And while work’s important, it’s always nice to see big name stars fitting their children into the hectic schedule that comes along with being a celebrity.

Kate did just that, taking son Ryder out for a walk in the West Village on what turned into a dreary, rainy day. While they were walking, Kate keenly pointed out a puddle to her little man – with Ryder taking notice and stepping over it. Too cute!

Not letting their parenting duties rob them of their alone time, the “Simple Life” hottie and her “Good Charlotte” rocker beau took some quality time to themselves on a stroll out on the streets of Hollywood yesterday.

Letting her long blonde locks down, Nicole looked cute and casual in a striped shirt with a leather jacket and some comfy jeans, while Joel rocked a fedora, track jacket and dark trousers.

Speaking of Joel, it sounds like he may have a chance at an acting gig coming up soon.  Rumor has it Juno writer Diablo Cody thinks he may be right for a part in a new flick.

Pete Wentz is said to be the number one choice, but you never know what may happen if they both audition.

With this Friday’s release of “Fool’s Gold” stars Matthew McConaughey and Kate Hudson are furiously charging down the promotional trail.

Starting off her day in NYC, Kate was spotted outside her Manhattan residence sporting a big wool coat with a furry collar and cuffs.

Later on, she joined her “How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days” co-star Matthew at the MTV Studios on Broadway in Midtown.

These two proved, once again, why they’re such a bankable commodity as they fell into their familiar chemistry during the taping of TRL. 

And their mutual admiration goes beyond the movie set.  In a recent interview, Hudson gave her endorsement to Matthew’s upcoming venture into fatherhood. 

“I think he will be an incredible dad. Matthew just happens to be one of the most loving and loyal people I know. And his family is important to him. And I think it’s one thing that we connect on. He’s great with kids and I think he’ll be a very responsible and absolutely blast of a dad.”

In a move that marketers just couldn’t avoid, the Umbrella singer found herself doing press for her new umbrella line from Totes at Macy’s Herald Square in New York City.

Wearing a sexy black outfit along with a matching scarf and a pair of orange heels, the Barbados native posed for pictures and signed autographs for fans lucky enough to sneak their way up front.

From here, Rihanna is scheduled to perform at a pre-Grammy fashion show on Thursday, followed up by her much-anticipated appearance at the 2008 Grammy Awards on Sunday (February 10).

A mere three weeks after giving birth to her son Max, Christina Aguilera was spotted out and about yesterday showing the world what a hot mama she truly is.

First, Aguilera was seen at the Beverly Terrace Hotel in Los Angeles, California submitting her Super Tuesday vote for who will be the 2008 presidential candidates.

After doing her patriotic duty, Christina headed over to Best Buy to promote the release of her new DVD set ‘Back to Basics: Live and Down Under.’

She told press that motherhood has changed her perspective on her musical career. 

“This whole incredible thing that’s taken part in my life, between the pregnancy and the birth, I’ve got so much to be inspired about and so much in my life to write about. I’ve been brain-storming for the last nine months, actually. This next album will have a whole new me, so there’s a lot to look forward to.”

The rumors are true, confirmed by no less a source than her father: Jennifer Lopez is expecting twins.

And it isn’t even a Lopez family first.

“Yes, twins,”

Her dad David Lopez said in an interview on the Spanish-language show Escándalo TV, PEOPLE en Español reports.

“The thing is in my family, my sister also had twins, so it’s a hereditary thing.”

For David Lopez, the news means double the excitement. He said,

“I’m very proud. Jennifer has yearned to be a mother for many years,”

And he already has gifts ready for his 38-year-old daughter’s babies.

“In Puerto Rico it’s custom to buy an azabache [black stone] bracelet for babies to protect them from the evil eye, it’s part of our culture,” he said.

As she became noticeably pregnant, J-Lo finally announced last November that she and Marc Anthony were expecting.
